The films of director Wes Anderson are known for their striking visual elements—if you are familiar with his work, you would probably be able to identify the various movies by their signature graphic design.
Typography often plays an important role in setting the right mood for the productions—for Moonrise Kingdom, designer Jessica Hische designed a custom script typeface named “Tilda” that was used throughout the movie, from the opening sequence to the closing credits.
If you like its “graceful curves and friendly swashes”, you can now download it for your own use—Hische and Font Bureau has recently launched the typeface in two size-specific styles “to preserve its delicate qualities for uses big and small, on page or screen”.
To demonstrate its versatility, the designer has created a series of graphics that illustrates how Tilda could be used to record the many “life moments” that most of us experience, from age 0 to age 32.
