Amsterdam-based Studio Drift, which strives to “create truly innovative and ground-breaking projects”, has created “Fragile Future”, a stunning collection of stunning chandeliers that are made up of bronze structures, LED lights and real dandelions.
By placing actual dandelion heads around LED lights and arranging them within the chandelier frame, the Studio Drift team was able to create the illusion that the delicate dandelions are floating.
Using a modular system,—each unit in the system consists of three dandelion lights—some of the light sculptures in the collection can feature up to 1,500 dandelions.
An immense amount of care and time went into the construction of these incredibly fragile pieces—but the wondrous results seem well-worth the effort.
