Environmental artist Ahmad Nadalian imprints beautiful animal motifs onto sand.
Nadalian uses stone to make roller stamps for his project, which look like the cylinder seals of ancient civilizations that made marks on parchment.
On these stamps, the artist carves out tribal motifs and presses them onto the sand.
Although it is tedious work, the patterns emerge beautifully and show humanity’s tenuous connections to their past and nature.
