Michigan-based photographer Rob Woodcox has a series of dreamy, surreal portraits that are full of mystery and intrigue.
Describing his style as “realistic surrealism”, Woodcox’s ethereal, otherworldly portraits feature subjects in precarious situations that invite viewers to wonder what they mean within the context of the scenes.
An air of danger and adventure runs throughout his work, from a photo of a young man clutching an animal skull while suspended in mid-air, to another of himself covered in white paint and clad in his underwear, holding a finger to his lips and pointing at something unseen.
