Arizona-based design and architecture firm Blank Studio has designed a concept studio for writers with the aim of promoting literary creativity.
Aptly called ‘House of Writing’, it is situated in Montrichier, Switzerland, where the resident can have a good view of the Alps and the surrounding countryside.
The three-story tall residence is suspended by cables to metal trees creating a floating, tilted effect.
The first floor features a living room and kitchen area with a long, narrow staircase that leads up to the writer’s loft, which is meant as a working space. The second level serves as a sleeping area.
Its exterior is covered in “satin-etched, translucent glass and stainless steel to softly collect and disperse the available daylight”.
