A Hand-Crafted Wooden Pinhole Camera That Works Beautifully

If you want to make a solid pinhole camera from scratch, ditch the cardboard and try creating this impressive wooden version instead—only if you have plenty of time and patience on your hands.

Created by Scott Yu-Jan, his wooden pinhole camera has a 0.47mm lens, a tripod mount, and a 280 F-stop, allowing it to take long exposures.

Yu-Jan, who made the pinhole camera during his freshman year at Emily Carr University, first created a prototype of the camera with cardboard and magnets.

He then used a mixture of plywood, insulation foam boards and other materials to make the final version of the pinhole camera.

Would you want to create your own wooden pinhole camera too?
