David Jonathan Ross designer of digital studio Front Bureau, has created a typeface designed with coders and programming apps in mind, called “Input”.
Inspired by Matthew Carter's process for creating Verdena, Ross designed “Input” as a pixel font, outlining the letters initially drawn on a 11-pixel grid. It creates an appealing font that embodies both mechanical curves and completely straight lines.
The typeface can be displayed in both monospaced and proportional fonts that are interchangeable between serif and sans serif, size, width, weight and height, making it easier for programmers to spot typos and errors.
