Agency Creates A Pre-Roll Ad That You’ll Probably Not Want To Skip

Ad agency Nail has created a clever spot that will probably make you think twice about pressing that ‘Skip Ad’ button that appears on YouTube pre-roll ads.

The 35-secong-long video shows a puppy being hooked to electrical wires around its collar. A man holds up the other end of the wires and ‘attaches’ it to the ‘Skip Ad’ button, informing viewers that the puppy will be electrocuted if the button is pressed.

According to agency, the ad was part of an experiment to see if they could make “a skippable YouTube [ad] that virtually no one skips”.

What do you think? Did they succeed?
