Amazing Paper Cuttings That Look Like Drawings, Pen Lines, Decomposing Leaves

Japanese artist Akira Nagaya has created a series of artworks that incorporate the Japanese art of paper cutting called “Kirie”.

The self-taught artist had acquired this skill while working in a sushi shop, he had to master the technique of creating intricate decorations on bamboo leaves as his first task.

His design creations are so detailed and delicate that they appear to be fine pen lines, drawing sketches, decomposing leaves and laser-cut designs.
