Chart: The Purchasing Power Of $100 In Each US State

We’ve previously shown you what one dollar can get you around the world.



The Tax Foundation has come up with a chart that shows the purchasing power of US$100 in each US state, relative to the national average.



The results are unsurprising—expensive coastal states like California and New York offer less value, while the majority of the midwestern states where the cost of living is lower, offer the most bang for your buck.
