Cleverly Redesigned Knife Lets You Easily Spread Cold, Hard Butter On Toast

Sydney-based company DM Initiatives “wanted a solution to their hard butter woes”, and came up with the “stupendous, splendiferous ButterUp”.

The ButterUp looks like an ordinary butter knife, except that it has a line of small holes punched along one side—these holes effectively make up a built-in grater that scraps out ribbons of butter when they are run down a block of butter.

This simple but brilliant innovative “aerate and soften butter making it easy to spread”—the broader blade with more surface area also speeds up the spreading.

Currently sourcing for funds on Kickstarter—with 13 days to go, the product has already garnered about 375% of its initial goal.

You can pledge for the ButterUp here to be among the firsts to use it.
