Georgia-based photographer Forest McMullin’s series ‘Day & Night’ is a revealing look at what people get up to when night falls.
Each image features a day-time photograph of a person or couple on the left, and a picture of the same people taken at night on the right.
Among the subjects are a middle-aged man who is a cross-dresser, a lady who transforms into a dominatrix, and couples who engage in sexual roleplay.
The photographs challenge the idea of what is considered normal and acceptable, by examining the stark contrast between their public image and their true selves, which are revealed only behind closed doors.
While some may view the images on the right as deviant, to the people being photographed, they are a form of self-expression.
