Find Your Lover By Smelling Worn T-Shirts At A Matchmaking Party

Los Angeles-based artist Judith Prays has started an interesting matchmaking trend where people can find their potential partner through scents.

She would host pheromone parties—pheromones are the chemical triggers of sexual attraction in mammals—where guest are asked to sleep in a t-shirt for three nights to capture their body scent and bring it in a ziplock bag to the party.

The bags are labeled with numbers and the gender of its owner. Guests can go through and smell the bags throughout the party—when they find a smell attractive, they will then take a picture of themselves with the bags they have chosen and it will be projected on a screen. Should the guest who finds the picture of the person holding his or her number attractive, the match is made.

Do you think this method would work better than the conventional matchmaking services?
