In Melbourne, A Brick-And-Mortar Shoe Store That Only Sells Products Online

Sneakerboy Melbourne is the first of its kind that allows customers to shop online, but view and try its products in a physical store.

Designed by Australia-based March Studio, the store is divided into two parts, mainly the display area and the fitting room.

The sneakers are neatly displayed with scrolling LED boards underneath that show the shoe’s designer. Customers can find out the pricing and available sizing by scanning the product with the Sneakerboy app.

After deciding on the model, customers can head to the fitting room to try on the shoes and make the purchase either with the app or on the iPads provided by the store.

According to the designers, they hope to promote the “convenience of the online store,” while at the same time, retain “the experience of touching, trying, and smelling an object” with this idea.

What do you think of this concept?
