In New York, Creatives Lay ‘Traps’ To Catch Hipsters

Hipsters in New York, be warned. You are being hunted.

Put together by creatives Hunter Fine and Jeff Greenspan, they have laid a modified animal trap called the ‘Hipster Trap’, with items such as a can of “Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) beer can, a Holga camera, ironic sunglasses, American Spirits cigarettes, and a yellow fixie bike chain” as bait.

This ‘trap’ is actually a part of the Urban Traps project, where the creators lay traps for certain subcultures because they want to “protect neighborhoods from infestation and collect different species for further study”.

For more details about the project, read the Urban Traps blog here.
