Popping Up Over The Weekend: ‘Sundae In A Can’ By Cronut Creator





You’ll probably be wishing for this weekend to come sooner, because chef Dominique Ansel, creator of the cronut, is back with a new creation at East Hampton, New York this Saturday.



For only one day on 2 August, Ansel will operate a pop-up ice cream truck serving root beer and stracciatella ice cream, mascarpone semifreddo, toasted marshmallow, mascerated cherries and miniature cherry meringues all delightfully packed in a soup can lined with chocolate.



The sealed and frozen treat, packaged with a pop art design, is sold at US$15 a pop. 20% of proceeds will be donated to charity City Harvest.



Called “Pop It!”, get your share of canned pleasure from 12pm onwards at 67 Main Street, till supplies last.
