In his experimental photo series ‘Perception is Reality’, Melbourne-based photographer Sebastian Petrovski took portraits of the same model in remarkably different lighting, making us view his work in a new perspective.
The resulting images show stark differences—the models appear happier and youthful when their portraits were taken in bright, outdoor lighting. Those taken in the darker, dramatic lightning made them look aged and lifeless.
You may think that different models were used in his contrasting portraits, but the lighting merely enhanced or masked each model’s facial features.
