Graphic designer Alex Trochut has created a series of triply glow-in-the-dark art pieces that are exhibited at Kinfolk94.
His project titled ‘Think Twice’ is based on the city lifestyle he has experienced in his year and a half stay in Manhattan—he explained that his artworks are a visual connection between opposites, "Attraction to destruction; the animal side to human things; want versus need".
When the lights are turned off, portraits of musicians are given a grunge makeover, items like a lipstick becomes a gun bullet, and medicine pill becomes a bomb.
The images are produced in screen-print of three types of ink—black ink for the original image, glow-in-the-dark, and a layer to dull the first image.
