Washing Machine’s Robot Fishes Clean Your Clothes By ‘Eating’ The Dirt

Fancy cleaning your clothes in a washing machine filled with “robot fishes”?

Korean industrial designer Chan Yeop Jeong created ‘Pecera’, a washing machine concept that cleans your clothes with robot fishes, eliminating the need to use detergent.

Chan’s robot fishes, called ‘Dofi’, were inspired by ‘Doctor fish’ that feeds on dead human skin cells and leaves it clean.

Similarly, when these robotic fishes detect dirt particles with its tiny camera, it cleans the garment by “eating” the dirt with its suction-shaped mouth.

As detergent is not required, the concept benefits users with sensitive skin. Water wastage is reduced too, as the washing machine’s first layer drains off water from your laundry easily.
