The late Robin Williams was a huge fan of the phenomenal game World of Warcraft (WoW).
Hence, Texas-based Jason Holgate started a petition to video game developer Blizzard to immortalize Williams as a non-playable character (NPC) in WoW.
The petition has collected close to 11,000 signatures as of writing, and Blizzard has responded to it.
Technical game designer on WoW, Chadd Nervig, tweeted that they’re “taking care of it” in response to a fan’s alert to the petition. Shortly after, a tweet appeared on WoW’s official Twitter paying tribute to Williams and stating that they’ll “see you (Williams) in-game.”
Keep your eyes peeled on the latest developments @Warcraft.
@Dakirokos @mumper @CM_Lore @DaveKosak @davhave Yes. We're taking care of it.
