The illustrator Ursa Eyer has drawn a sad comic that shows the effects of catcalling.
Based on the artist’s personal experiences, the comic features a young girl who grows into a woman. As she grows, the comments on her looks get more and more nasty, and with each comment, the young lady changes what she wears as well as her posture.
Eyer also stated that her comic is a “vanilla version” of the names that she gets called in real life. The comic shows that catcalling can be incredibly damaging as it ruins ones self-esteem.
