Following the #Bendgate incident, Apple has opened the doors to its secret testing labs in Cupertino, California, to selected media outlets, showcasing the different types of intense tests that were conducted on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
In the media tour, Apple demonstrated four out of the numerous tests that were done on the iPhone: the “sit test”, “three-point bend test”, “pressure point test”, and “torsion test”.
According to Apple, the “bend in iPhone is extremely rare”, and that only nine customers have complained about their bent phones through the company’s “first six days of sale”.
