Lucasfilm Employees Create Delightful Artworks On Sidewalks Using Chalk

Third place: “Death Starry Night” by Down & Dirty

Employees from Lucasfilm, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), and tenants of the Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco, have recently participated in the Lucasfilm Sidewalk Art Festival 2014, covering the campus sidewalks with delightful artworks made with chalk.

The annual event saw teams of two to four members competing to come up with the best designed artwork inspired by characters from Star Wars, Disney and Indiana Jones.

Some of these amazing designs included a famous van Gogh-inspired piece starring Darth Vader in the “Death Starry Night”, and a witty piece showing Emperor Palpatine doing a Marilyn Monroe above a subway grate.
