Advertising agency Droga5 New York has recently unveiled its new online short film for Air Wick, a US-owned brand that makes air fresheners.
Making an ad to promote air freshener may seem all too easy, so this ad took on a very different direction. Instead of selling air fresheners, this film showed the importance of how fragrances affect us and how scents can bring us to another place instantly.
The film follows an American military family, where the father Kearen Feller has not been able to see his wife and six children for close to a year.
Through the film, members of his family and Air Wick try to help recreate these moments. Through distilling the scent of his old baseball glove, the family baked apple pie, the fireplace, Feller gets a taste of being at home while he is not physically present.
