Washington-based artist Chris Maynard, whom we last featured here, has created a new series of his wonderful feather artworks—like his previous artworks, this latest collection of images that are carved out of beautiful feathers centers on birds.
Using a range of startlingly beautiful feathers, he creates whimsical scenes such as that of flocks of birds in flight, a little bird hunting bugs and another one feeding on a long, curly worm.
According to Maynard, he uses “mostly with shed feathers, some of the birds that grew them are likely still living”.
