San Francisco-based artist Sonja Hinrichsen, who previously wowed us with her beautiful snow ‘drawings’, has recreated her amazing feat of transforming snowy landscapes into a maze of spirals and swirls—all made with just snow boots—in her latest project, ‘We Are The Water’.
Together with a team of approximately 50 volunteers, Hinrichsen walked across the lake in Colorado’s Routt County on snowshoes for four hours, creating massive patterns as a lovely tribute to the “original flow of the Yampa River”.
