Lithuanian photographer Neringa Rekašiūtė, journalist Beata Tiškevič and communication specialist Modesta Kairytė have collaborated on ‘We.Women’, a series that encourages women to love their bodies.
Described as a statement against the promotion of unrealistic beauty standards in the media, the project features photographs of women standing in their underwear in front of a mirror embracing their bodies and "flaws".
“Our models have experienced a variety of poor body image problems: anorexia, bulimia, breast cancer, vitiligo, depression, fat-shaming, skinny-shaming… It is as diverse as we could get for this one project,” said Rekašiūtė.
