Are you confident of how your breasts look like?
In the recent ‘Pretty Hurts’ series featured in the New York Magazine, they got 57 women from New York City to draw their breasts and write a sentence of how they feel about them.
“Breasts are seen simultaneously as a marker of womanhood, as a visual signifier of female sexualization, as synonymous with femininity”, explained Psychologist Rachel Missted and Hannah Frith.
The Study speaks of the complexities of modern womanhood, beauty standards and the efforts to matchup to them—naturally, most women responded by expressing dissatisfaction with their breast being too small or too big, and a number of them that loved the size that they have.
