Claire Manganiello, “a Brooklyn-based art director and pizza enthusiast”, first got the idea for the “Pizza Bed” at 3am on a Sunday morning, while standing on a street corner feeling cold and tipsy.
After wishing that she could climb into the warm pizza she was holding, and fall asleep in it, she came up with a fun concept that shows what it would be like to sleep in a pepperoni pizza—a year later, this concept has become an actual product that you can pledge for on Kickstarter.
Consisting of a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a duvet cover and two standard pillow cases, the Pizza Bed is available in Twin, Full/Queen and King sizes—for early birds, they are priced from US$100 to US$150 per set.
