To challenge our perspective about space, Dutch designer Wies Preijde hand-made ‘walls’ using thread of various colors for an installation called ‘Tegendraads’.
In the installation, her woven screen partitions gave a conflicting effect—the thread walls created passageways and, in turn, room spaces; however, gave the viewer the idea of walking through a transparent room as the partitions are partly see-through.
Preijde is currently working on a product version of her woven walls, which she hopes could be partitions in homes or offices for everyday use.
