Arianna Huffington (President and Editor-in-Chief at The Huffington Post): “My office has views of Broadway and the HuffPost newsroom. It's all about transparency. I can see out, and everyone can see in.”
LinkedIn has composed a photo series that features the workspaces of more than 50 creatives and thought leaders.
Titled ‘Where I Work’, the series features the offices of Richard Branson (Founder of Virgin Group), Arianna Huffington (President and Editor-in-Chief at The Huffington Post), Michael Moritz (Writer and Philanthropist), and many others.
According to LinkedIn, the purpose of the photos is to show how “successful people tailor their surroundings to the specific ways they work”, and there is no need for “exotic surroundings” to come up with creative and great ideas.
“These images prove that a vast array of places can be conducive to productivity,” LinkedIn wrote.
What type of environment is the most conducive for you?
Richard Branson (Founder of Virgin Group): “Having colleagues nearby—whether at the beach or in a crypt—means the ideas are always flowing.”

Aaron Hurst (Founder of Taproot Foundation): “Open plans are great for collaboration and openness, but sometimes you just need quiet. That's where the glass comes in.”
Craig Newmark (Founder of Craiglist): “Two generations of Simpson heroes and views of the local fauna are the only adornments to my sparse setup.”
Dan Ariely (Professor at Duke University): “I like to inject surprises into my workday, which explains why my office has everything from a J-shaped back-massage tool to a Freudian-inspired therapist chair.”
Tim Brown (CEO at IDEO): “At IDEO, we continue to create new spaces and work arrangements that invite inspiration, collaboration, and serendipity. Our spaces are ever-evolving prototypes.”
