The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has recently appointed Zaha Hadid Architects to plan the new London-area airport.
Zaha Hadid will be working alongside a world-class team of aviation experts, such as Pascall + Watson, Ernst & Young, Atkins Ramboll and York Aviation, to evaluate the £75 to £80 billion project.
The team is required to plan how and where London’s next multi-runway airport should be constructed—a decision that plays a critical role in the future of the country economy.
“This work is essential to deliver the most integrated transport solutions for London and the UK. It will enable London to maintain its position as one of the world’s most important economic, commercial and cultural centers; outlining the city’s future growth and development which has always been founded on global connectivity,” said Zaha Hadid.
