We have seen many great creative projects involving cats, but few are as easy to execute—or as amusing—as putting a house cat in a silly, illustrated cardboard cut-out costume.
Like Chinese blogger toshiya86, Imgur user eatmytwins and Redditor Chicosley have recently uploaded hilarious photographs of their cats in head-through-a-hole cardboard costumes onto the internet.
From an astronaut to a bikini babe, these cardboard costumes depict the cats in amusing poses and imagine them in alternative lives—the cats’ unimpressed, dead-panned expressions just add to the comic effect.
We will definitely want to see more of these cardboard cutout cat portraits—assuming that no cats are harmed during their making.
