To promote its Wolfthorn line, Old Spice—together with the help of creative agency Wieden + Kennedy—has rolled out, what it calls the “world’s first scratch ‘n sniff banner ad”.
Featured at The Onion’s sports section, the banner ad doesn’t actually work by making your computer release smells, but instead requires interested visitors who click the banner to fill up a form with their address.
With the given address, Old Spice would send them something so that they can “smell the internet”.
Don’t be disappointed, the day of digitally-created smells will soon be here.
