Based in New York City, artist Jacob Hashimoto has created an impressive installation made entirely of white silk kites.
This beautiful installation was assembled with the aid of Hashimoto’s five assistants—each white kite is shaped like a circle and is glued to a bamboo frame.
These kites were then organized into different segments and then hung up in the gallery.
Entitled “Superabundant Atmosphere”, this interactive installation is made to look like clouds rising and falling—it changes with time, brightening as sunlight streams through it and darkening like storm clouds on cloudy days.
