Pin-Up Girls: Before VS After





Before the 1950s-ish pin-up girls were transformed into beautiful, sexual fantasies—by American artist Gil Elvgren, through his paintings—photographs of them in poses had to first be taken.



In a series of images, found by Livejournal user ulkacurl, juxtaposes the original girls against the ideal, doll-like beauties depicted in the final paintings.



The nostalgia-inducing images reveal that even at an age without Photoshop, there was still ‘Photoshop’ done to create the fantasized body image of females—which in a way, leads to the objectification women.
