Talk about meta. 19-year-old Robert Burt of Pittsfield, Maine, certainly gave officers something to laugh about when he posed for his mugshot at the Somerset County Jail recently.
Ordered to spend two days behind bars starting 8 August, he arrived to get his picture taken wearing a shirt featuring a picture of his last mugshot—he had previously been booked on 14 June for drunk-driving.
According to The Smoking Gun, a co-worker at the restaurant he works at had created the shirt, which was captioned “Burt Family Reunion 8/8-8/10/2014 sponsored by Bud Light and Somerset County Sheriff.”
For added laughs, Burt included a picture of a cat holding a television remote and sitting next to a bottle of beer.
According to his Facebook post, the officers “laughed there (sic) asses off” and made him hold the slate so the shirt would be visible in the photograph.
What do you think—isn’t it a cheeky way to liven up an otherwise ordinary booking photo?
