Fascinating Microscopic Photos Of Insects Reveal Details Naked To The Human Eye

To share his immense interest in insect biology and microscopy with the world, scientist David Phillips took 150 black-and-white photos of various insects, and compiled it into a photo book, Art and Architecture of Insects.

His photos, all taken with an electron microscope, revealed details that cannot be seen by the human eye, such as the insects’ molecule-sensing antennae, and its unique wax surface that prevents evaporation.
