To capture a bird’s eye view of Iceland’s vast landscapes, photographer Sarah Martinet took a ride on a “plane with open windows” that shook as it flew through strong winds—just to shoot from a height that would give her the best aerial views of the beautiful country.
Her adventure resulted in vivid and ethereal photos that showed Iceland’s vast landscapes of intertwining rivers, rocks slightly dotted with snow, and a beautiful waterfall that flowed beneath lush greenery.
