Back in 1947, LIFE Magazine conducted a cheeky experiment, asking 10 well-known contemporary comic strip artists of the time to draw their famous characters while being blindfolded.
This resulted in a collection of hilarious doodles and drawings that are oddly lopsided—while most of these artists got the details of their characters right, it was the misplacement of those details that made them look funny.
