In Amusing Award Ad, Firefighters, Astronauts Say Ad People Are The Bravest





The International ANDY Awards, for the advertising industry, has produced a series of amusing spots to ramp up promotional efforts for its call for entries for next year’s accolades.



Produced by agency Wieden + Kennedy, the tongue-in-cheek ads depict surgeons, firefighters, astronauts and bomb disposal experts paying tribute to the bravery of advertising creatives.



Conveying the message that one needs to be courageous and fearless to produce groundbreaking work, the award gives recognition to outstanding individuals and companies who encourage excellence in the advertising field.



Gina Grillo, president and CEO of the International ANDY Awards, said, “Caring about the work and approaching it with passion and bravery is what we want to see more of, and with that comes fame, glory and quite possibly an ANDY for your award shelf.”
