Spectacular Entries From The 2015 Sony World Photography Awards

The Sony World Photography Awards is one of the most prestigious annual photography competitions around.



Organized by the World Photography Organisation, it was launched in 2008 to celebrate the best in photography from around the world.



One of the highlights is the Open Competition where amateurs and photography enthusiasts compete in categories like Architecture, Nature and Wildlife, Arts and Culture, and Travel.



Sony recently gave My Modern Met an exclusive preview of some of the entries for 2015 received so far, which range from a magical shot of a deer in the morning mist to an amazing image of fighter jets flying in formation.



Photographers have until 5 January, 2015 to submit their work for the Open and Youth Competition, while professionals can submit their photographs by 8 January, 2015.
