Sleeping pods are appearing in more and more work spaces to help employees rejuvenate during the work day—the “Orrb”, a “womb-like cocoon” for offices, is an update on this concept that goes beyond being just a piece of furniture to snooze on.

Created by Lee McCormack, founder of Orrb Technologies, this futuristic capsule contains a comfortable lounge seat—the air in it is filtered to maximize oxygen levels, and there is also a noise-canceling system in place to maintain a peaceful quiet.

Once the user has closed the door to the pod, he or she would then face a screen and choose from a selection of guided relaxing activities, including a 5-minute mediation exercise and a learning module on public speaking.

The Orrb pod would start shipping in March 2015, and each one would cost US$10,000—would you like to have some of these in your office?
