An Elevated Wilderness Hideout That Perches Above A City's Skyline

Athens-based architecture practice Dragonas Christopoulou Architects felt like the urban city had no remaining remote spaces left to build a wilderness hideaway, so they designed a proposed cabin raised above the rooftops of buildings.

Their proposal, named Detached, is a small nine square meter wooden cabin. It is elevated above the city's rooftop landscape on four columns.

This allows urban dwellers to take a walk on the wilderness side without leaving the city.

The cabin provides only the most basic living needs, such as a raised sleeping area and a stepped floor that frames a desk.
