If you can’t get enough of the widely popular Sriracha hot sauce, Seattle-based company Pop! Gourmet Food is proud to announce the launch of a new line of snacks made with the iconic sauce, in collaboration with Huy Fong Foods.
The first in line is the ‘Huy Fong Sriracha popcorn’ which is already in stores. The ‘Huy Fong Sriracha potato chips’ will be set to hit shelves on 8 April 2015, followed by a range of croutons, tortilla chips, hummus, mayonnaise and other products in the coming months.
The highlight would be a spice mixture made from dehydrated Huy Fong Sriracha—Sriracha in powdered form—which can be sprinkled onto any food as a seasoning, like fries, and fried chicken.
Pop! Gourmet Food founder and CEO David Israel told Yahoo Food, “the idea came about during testing for the company’s other Sriracha-infused offerings”.
He added that he had sent a sample to Huy Fong Food for founder David Tran’s feedback, “they wrote back to me and said that David actually took it home to use it at his house,” which was the highest mark of approval for him.
A handful of other exciting items are also set to be launched—about which Israel intends to keep the public in suspense—which would probably be stocked at Kroger supermarkets, and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
