In an exciting piece of design news, the original copy of legendary designer Massimo Vignelli’s iconic New York City Transit Authority Graphics Standards Manual is up for auction next month.
Created by Vignelli in 1972, this historic graphic design book will be auctioned off at Sotheby’s on 1 April.
It’s the same rare edition which was recently discovered last year.
According to Sotheby’s, the 174-page tome is expected to fetch between US$5,000 to US$7,000.
If you’re a graphic design fan with deep pockets, find out how you can get your hands on this rare design bible here.
Those of you with more modest means might be interested in picking up these signed copies of the updated NYC subway map instead.
