An Artist Who Can Only Draw When He’s Asleep

Welsh-Australia artist Lee Hadwin has a unique talent—he is only able to draw when he’s asleep.

The 36-year-old artist has been ‘sleep-drawing’ since the age of four, and has baffled doctors with his unique ability.

Hadwin has created portraits of Marilyn Monroe as well as other abstract pieces when he’s asleep, but he has no idea what he has drawn until he wakes up.

“People ask me all the time,” he said, “what it is like but I can’t really answer that because I don’t feel it’s my work as I don’t recall doing it in the first place.”

He even admitted that his art was “appalling” when he’s conscious.

In the beginning, his works weren’t that good, but Hadwin said that his drawings have become more detailed and profound over the years.

Currently, the ‘sleep-drawing’ artist is selling his artworks on eBay and is planning to give half the proceeds to the Missing People charity.
