London-based artist James Mylne has been creating stunning, photorealistic drawings with ballpoint pens—Bic biros, to be precise—for the last 15 years.
Amazingly detailed, each one of these drawings can take hours to complete and demands a high level of concentration from the artist as mistakes cannot be rectified—any error means destroying the artwork and starting over.
For his most recent exhibition, the artist focused on the stylish female icons from the ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s, including the lovely Audrey Hepburn and inimitable Coco Chanel.
