Chewing Gum Batteries To Recharge Electronic Devices?

Product designer Ping-Yi Lin has developed a concept idea to have chewing gum batteries recharge our low-powered devices in the future.

To use the chewing gum batteries, the user simply buys a pack of gum from a vending machine and attaches the required number of gum to the device—instantly giving it an emergency power boost.

According to the pictures below, an Mp3 player only requires one strip of gum, while mobile phones and cameras require two, and notebooks require four strips in total.

Though it is only a concept idea, it sure seems handy if there was ever a need for an emergency charger.
