A Beautiful, 10-Meter High Sculpture Made Of Thousands Of Plastic Bags

Cameroonian artist Pascale Marthine Tayou’s latest project is a stunning 10-meter high installation artwork that is made up of countless colorful plastic bags.

Displayed at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome, the sculpture—simply entitled “Plastic Bags”—is designed to make a powerful visual statement about consumerism and waste in modern society.

The hollow, inverted dome-shaped structure, hanging from the glass ceiling of the museum, has an imposing presence and is impossible to ignore.
